One of things I enjoy the most about watching both baseball and basketball is seeing young players develop and grow into their game. Kind of like how a parent must feel watching their child grow up. Most players don't make it but the guys that do is a joy to watch. This Red Sox season has been pretty bad but I am getting so much enjoyment watching Mookie Betts and Xander Bogaerts who is solidifying himself as one the best SS in league. Love both those guys. Laser Show is still a favorite of mine and hope he retires a Red Sox.
Despite the lackluster records in the AL East all those teams are better than their records show. People thought the Yankees were going to suck but I was rather bullish on that prediction. They are were I thought they would be right at the All star break. It'll be interesting if a team pulls away from the division, and it could be anyone of them.
Big series vs the Yankees coming up. Red Sox are playing much better recently and hopefully Laser Show is ready to go.
Too bad Miggy is out for the next month. I like watching his stats go up into Hall of Fame territory. Curious to see where he'll be once retired. Looking for Mike Trout to heat up in the second half and it's nice to see Pujols doing good again. He probably would hit for his career averages since when he was a Cardinal but I root for him nonetheless. Any contract that's over 6 years scare me though, especially when signed when that player is already in their 30s.
